Brazilian Limeade

4 limes
6 cups cold water
1 cup sugar
6 TBS sweetened condensed milk

  1. Juice Limes
  2. Mix water and sugar. (We blended it for a few seconds to make sure there were no sugar particles - stirring a lot would work too)
  3. Add lime juice to sugar water.
  4. Mix sweetened condensed milk with about 1 cup of water (in a blender).
  5. Enjoy.
Taste this mixture before it is served. Depending on your limes it may be too sour. Add a little more water (if lime flavor is too strong, 1/4 cup at a time) and add a little more sugar (if it is too sour, 1/8 cup at a time). --- For ours we added probably 1/4 cup water and 1/8 cup sugar to the pitcher (but that was after having drunk 1 cup each.

This tastes just like Tucanos lemonade.

We added the juice of two mangoes, but the lime flavor was too strong and completely over powered the mangoes. So, if you want to flavor this with some other fruit, remember how strong the lime taste is and add a lot of juice from the other fruit. I think mango, peach or strawberry would be amazing.

This is best when served immediately (or almost immediately). We refrigerated this for about 30 minutes before serving, and it was still great, but we had to re-stir it before we drank. The juice separates greatly when left in the fridge overnight (Nate said it tasted okay when re-stirred.)

**We decorated our cups by sticking the tops in corn syrup and then in shreddings from our lime peel. (This would also work great with sugar instead of peel)
