Oreo and NutterButter Balls

1 package Oreos
1 package (8oz) cream cheese
White Dipping Chocolate

or

1 package NutterButters
1 package cream cheese
peanut butter (maybe a cup)
Milk Chocolate Dipping Chocolate

1. Crumble up cookies and mix with cream cheese.(and peanut butter for NBs)
2. Roll into balls. (maybe an inch to 1.5 inches in diameter)
3. Melt chocolate over double boiler.
4. Dip balls into chocolate.
5. Place on waxed paper to set.

I haven't made these yet, but I want to remember the recipe. These were given to us as a Christmas treat and they were so delicious. The NutterButters need a little peanut butter in addition because they have less in the middle of the cookies.

Can't wait to actually make these myself. Sorry I'm not sure how many this actually makes. Try them though. They're delicious.

**Update: I finally made these last night, with 2 sleeves of oreos, 1 package of Neufchatel cream cheese and white dipping chocolate. They turned out delicious. It was really hard to get the oreos all crunched up, but they still taste good with a few bigger pieces on them.  I didn't make the balls very big, and it made about 35 or so, but you can make them whatever size you like. I think if you want a lot of white chocolate on the outside you'll have to dip them twice, mine was a little thin. They taste just like a hershey's cookies and cream candy bar. Totally delicious. I can't wait to try the nutter butter balls!

Also, I love trying to make new recipes, and especially new dessert recipes. This recipe was perfect, because we were able to freeze about half of these balls, which I think will be a perfect little dessert to have on a later date. I love making desserts, but we can never eat as many as a recipe makes (before they go bad) so its nice to have one we can freeze.
