Ingredients
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 large eggs
2 large over-ripe bananas (mashed)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips (6 ounces)
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
- Beat butter, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, until blended.
- Beat in bananas and vanilla.
- With mixer on low, add in flour gradually until just blended.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour into prepared pan.
- Bake 60 to 65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. (I thought that seemed too long, but it ended up taking me 60 minutes I think)
- Cool in pan on rack for 5 minutes, before removing from pan to cool completely.
11.Eat with lots of margarine on top. Yum!
