Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

I'm pretty sure all recipes of banana bread are good, because well, banana bread is just delicious. We had a couple over-ripe bananas in the freezer, and it sounded yummy. I made it in the perfect timing that it was finishing right when Nate got home from work, and our house smelled amazing. So anyway, here ya go...

Ingredients
1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 large eggs
2 large over-ripe bananas (mashed)
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup chocolate chips (6 ounces)

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease a 9x5 loaf pan.
  3. Beat butter, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a large bowl until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until blended.
  5. Beat in bananas and vanilla.
  6. With mixer on low, add in flour gradually until just blended.
  7. Stir in chocolate chips.
  8. Pour into prepared pan.
  9. Bake 60 to 65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. (I thought that seemed too long, but it ended up taking me 60 minutes I think)
  10. Cool in pan on rack for 5 minutes, before removing from pan to cool completely.

11.Eat with lots of margarine on top. Yum!
